Quick verdict
Our take in a nutshell.
Connecteam wins when you need employees to actually use mobile workflows: clock-ins, checklists, announcements, and training—not only a calendar of jobs.
If you still need quotes, dispatch depth, invoicing, and customer portals, plan for either a second tool or choose a dedicated FSM instead.
Pricing can scale with headcount and modules—model total software spend before you assume it is cheaper than all-in-one FSM.

Pros and cons
What we liked and what to watch for.
Pros
- Excellent for deskless workforce coordination
- Time clocks, forms, and checklists techs will actually use
- Internal comms and training in one employee app
Cons
- Not a complete contractor FSM for quotes through payment
- Pairing with another tool adds integration overhead
- Module creep can raise TCO
Who this software is best for
Ideal users and use cases.
Best for contractors and service orgs where workforce operations—shifts, time tracking, and internal communication—are the primary pain, and where you will either keep a separate FSM or accept a two-tool stack.
Who should avoid it
Teams that need one system for estimates, dispatch, invoicing, and customer management should prioritize Jobber-class FSM first—Connecteam is the wrong sole purchase for that outcome.
Pricing overview
What to expect to pay.
Connecteam’s September 2026 pricing page: 14-day trial, no credit card. Small Business Plan is free for life for up to 10 users (Help: active and archived users both count). Paid Operations, Communications, and HR & Skills hubs are billed separately at Basic $29 / Advanced $49 / Expert $99 per hub per month when billed yearly for the first 30 users (monthly list $35 / $59 / $119). After 30 users, per-user add-ons apply. A Limited free essentials plan exists for teams under 30 who are past the Small Business cap. The Operations feature table marks payroll integration as not included on Small Business. Confirm the live page.
Operations Hub: time clock, job scheduling, forms, quick tasks. Communications Hub: chat, updates, directory, surveys, knowledge base, help desk. HR & Skills: time off, courses, documents, recognition, hiring/onboarding. Buy only the hubs you need. Expert unlocks extras such as unlimited geofence sites, breadcrumbs, auto-scheduling, and API/webhooks.
Compare against Zuper or Jobber when you need full FSM; compare against pure time-tracking tools when workforce is the only gap.
Starting price: Free up to 10 users; paid hubs from $29/mo
Key features
What stands out.
- Shift & job scheduling
Workforce scheduling: open shifts, repeating shifts on paid tiers, job labels that can represent customers, sites, or roles.
- Time tracking & attendance
Mobile and kiosk clocks, GPS stamps on paid Operations, geofence/breadcrumbs on higher plans, timesheet export.
- Employee app (comms, training, HR)
Chat, updates, courses, documents, and time off live in Communications and HR hubs—not a customer portal.
Integrations
Plays well with your stack.
Connecteam’s integrations page lists payroll, accounting, POS, and Zapier connections. Confirm the live catalog. Connecteam Help: Zapier requires Advanced or higher. Help’s invoicing article is an Excel export of hours—not a native customer payment product. If you pair Connecteam with Jobber, map employees and job names; there is no native connector, only Zapier automations.
